Nate and Manasi awarded K99, Lab Oktoberfest

Bill’s toast at the DeGrado Lab Oktoberfest for CVRI happy hour.

Congratulations DGL post-docs Nate and Manasi for receiving the prestigious K99/R00 NIH Pathway to Independence Award! This comes shortly after the lab congratulates Nate for the birth of his first son, Ian! As well, we enjoyed DGL post-doc Kathleen’s last week in the lab.

In celebratory spirit, the DGL hosted the CVRI happy hour this week: Oktoberfest themed. The group invited friends to share pretzels, sausage, and beer, and a tasty dish straight from Bill’s giant antique chemistry mortar and pestle. Before it was all over, Bill led a sentimental group toast to Kathleen and presented her with lab gifts.
