PGY2 Specialized Residency: Informatics and Technology
The goal of the residency is to train pharmacy leaders in informatics and technology to meet the major health information technology challenges on the immediate horizon. The breadth of the program will prepare the resident for a position in a variety of health information technology and informatics leadership positions within today’s healthcare environment.
The second-year specialty residency in in Pharmacy Informatics and Technology at UCSF instills pharmacists with the capacity to identify where technology and automation systems can work to improve the medication use system. The resident will be a course co-coordinator for a one-unit elective in pharmacy informatics.

Interested applicants should have a PharmD or an MS/BS with clinical experience, be eligible for California pharmacist licensure, completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency or equivalent experience, and submit the standardized application materials through the UCSF online application system.

About $54,000 per year (paid monthly)
- Vacation: 10 days paid vacation leave
- Professional Leave: 10 days paid professional leave
- Travel Stipend: Amount is determined each year for professional leave and may not cover all travel expenses.
