The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting our greater School community in all ways. As we meet the challenges of COVID-19, I’m reminded daily of your professionalism, your respect for the true severity of this situation and the diverse needs of all the world’s citizens, and your steadfast commitment to excellence.

In this brief Update, I touch on how UCSF Health is addressing the crisis, changes in the PharmD curriculum brought on by the pandemic, how the science inside our School is taking on the coronavirus, and how we can all pitch in during these trying times. I also share links to UCSF and School information on COVID-19 and links to my virtual School of Pharmacy town hall meetings.

You are an amazing community of individuals, which this pandemic has demonstrated so boldly. It’s a privilege to serve you as dean.
