Woolfson lab visits DeGrado lab!

DGL was delighted to host Professor Woolfson and his postdocs, Katherine and Kate, from the University of Bristol in the UK. Unfortunately, due to rainy weather on Sunday, the planned bike ride over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito had to be cancelled. Instead, we decided to visit the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, where we admired Diego Rivera's mural, Alexander Calder's sculptures, and Ragnar Kjartansson's video installation. Later, we also visited SF's famous bus station architecture before enjoying a scrumptious Chinese dinner next to the Ferry Building.

The following day, DGL members had the opportunity to learn about the latest research being conducted in the Woolfson lab, including peptide/protein designs, molecule sensing, and their applications. Each DGL member also gave a brief presentation about their own work and received insightful feedback from Dek. DGL members appreciate Woolfson lab for their visit.
