Akin presented "Advancing precision medicine health equity by prioritizing historically excluded patient groups" at the 2025 Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Emerging Leaders in Health and Medicine Forum hosted by the National Academy of Medicine and held in Washington, DC. The presentation was part of the "Leveraging Data for Precision Health and Personalized Care" breakout session, which was followed by a Q&A panel involving all 4 speakers from the session.
