Analytical equipment and instrumentation
We are equipped with state-of-the-art chromatographic drug and biomarker quantitation tools including two AB SCIEX Tandem (triple quadrupole) mass spectrometers:
-
TripleQuad 6500+ system coupled with a Waters Acquity (I class) Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) system.
-
API 5000 system coupled with Shimadzu LC-20ADxr Ultra-Fast Liquid Chromatography (UFLC) system.
The LC-Tandem Mass Spectrometer is highly sensitive, has rapid sample throughput, and requires small sample volumes (typically less than 100 mcL) with minimum sample preparation for simultaneous multiple drug analysis.
We are also equipped with three Waters LC-UV systems:
-
Two Acquity UPLC systems (classic and I class) with a photodiode array detector controlled by software Empower 3
-
HPLC system (1525 LC binary pump and 2707 autosampler) with 2487 dual λ absorbance detector controlled by the software Breeze™️ system
We have an automated liquid handling platform (Hamilton NIMBUS HD system) for high-throughput sample preparation capable of accurate and precise pipetting of low volumes (down to 5 mcL). A Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) hood and two standard chemical hoods are used in the lab.
Computers and software
For pharmacokinetic and statistical analysis, we are equipped with a dedicated, 12-core, 16 GB RAM computing server for high-level computational analyses accessible by study investigators, and our investigators have access to software for data visualization and analysis:
-
Phoenix WinNonlin®
-
Stata SE12
-
NONMEM
-
GraphPad
