Rapamycin Mice

Make 1 mg/ml rapamycin stock for i.p. injection Maggie 2009

• One bottle: 100 mg.
• All 2 ml of 100% ethanol into the bottle to make 50 mg/ml Rapamycin stock and aliquot to
• 250ul/tube and keep them at -80.
• Cat. No. R-5000, LC lab

Make 20 ml 10% PEG400 stock

• Add 2 ml PEG400 into 18 ml ddH2O. it’s easy to be miscible.
• Add 2 ml Tween80 into 18 ml ddH2O. It will take longer time to be miscible. Don’t use pipette to mix the stock, it will be jammed.

Make 10 ml of 1 mg/ml Rapamycin stock

• 5 ml of 10% PEG400
• 5 ml of 10% Tween 80
• 200 ul of 50 mg/ml Rapamycin (dissolve in 100% ethanol), keep at -80.
• Mix, filter trough 0.22 um filter, aliquot to 1 ml in EP tube, store at -20.

Make 10 ml of Vehicle control

• 5 ml of 10% PEG400
• 5 ml of 10% Tween 80
• Rapamycin working concentration: 6 mg/kg
