Research interests: Discovering gene regulatory elements in the human genome and linking mutations within them to specific phenotypes.
Research interests: Functional characterization of regulatory elements involved in neural disease and discovering novel systems for precise gene regulation.
Research interests: Investigating the role of gene regulatory elements in neurodegenerative diseases.
Research interests: Leveraging the evolutionary history and genetics of gene regulatory elements to manipulate human gene expression.
Research interests: Studying the variation in genes and regulatory elements involved in the metabolism of drugs and dietary compounds.
Research interests: Understanding gene regulation and the impact of noncoding genetic variation in neurological and psychiatric disorders.
Outside the lab: Swimming, hiking, biking, or just enjoying the sunshine! I also love table tennis, cooking and baking.
Research interests: Further development of adipose manipulation transplantation (AMT) therapy toward clinical application and comparative functional genomics using adipocytes.
Outside the lab: I enjoy exploring the good bakeries in SF. I also love listening to and performing Rakugo, a verbal comedy in Japan.
Research interests: The genetic basis of evolutionary change in pregnancy and development.
Outside the lab: Taking long walks, finding new cafes, crafting, and reading.
Research interests: Characterizing gene regulatory elements and their utilization for gene therapy in haploinsufficient diseases.
