Bill Receives an Honorary Degree from the University of Valencia!

William (Bill) F. DeGrado, PhD, professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, received an honorary degree from the University of Valencia on June 6th in recognition of his pioneering work in protein design and drug discovery on June 6th

During the ceremony, Bill received the symbols that signify the degree: the Flowered Cap, the Ring of Wisdom, the white gloves, and the Book of Science, as well as the accrediting diploma. He delivered a speech in which he highlighted the importance of diversity for progress, reviewed the evolution of protein design processes, and discussed his lab’s current research in protein development.
