DeGrado lab alumni team up to build conducting protein-fullerene assembly, Nature Comm.

Several previous trainees from the DeGrado lab and current DGL post-doc Shao-Qing Zhang team up to construct a protein crystal that organizes buckminsterfullerenes into conducting arrays. Those trainees, who now serve as faculty elsewhere, are Gevorg Grigoryan (Dartmouth), Yong-Ho Kim (Sungkyunkwan University), and Rudresh Acharya (NISER). They exhibited their versatility in using computational design, biophysics, and materials science to create and characterize this programmed self-organizing nano-material.
