Two postdoctoral fellow positions are currently available. Research directions are 1) genetically encoding unnatural amino acids (Uaas) to investigate protein modification and signaling in vivo and 2) genetically encoding light-responsive Uaas to study the function of ion channels and neuronal receptors in cells and in vivo. We seek candidates with knowledge and research experience in organic chemistry, molecular biology, chemical biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or synthetic biology, and who are innovative and highly motivated. For the 2nd research direction, candidates with training and research experience in electrophysiology and neuroscience are preferred. Salary will be paid according to the NIH guideline.
