Programs
TRANSPERS focuses on four areas of research:
- Systematic Evidence Reviews of Payer Coverage Policies: TRANSPERS Systematic Reviews of Payer Coverage Policies contain coverage, reimbursement and policy decisions by payers.
- Understanding Payer Decision-Making: TRANSPERS Payer Advisory Board, established in 2007, is comprised of private payers and thought leaders.
- Quantifying the Value of Precision Medicine-related technologies and the implications of adoption.
- Health Disparities: Equity and Access of Precision Medicine.
Our Payer Coverage research is based on a conceptual framework of Stakeholders, Topics, and Mechanisms & Capabilities as shown in the figure.
In addition, TRANSPERS Director Kathryn Phillips is the chair of the Global Economics and Evaluation of Clinical Genomics Sequencing Working Group (GEECS).
